Shop Local. Eat Local.

The Farmhouse is a staple of the Wendell Falls community, and inside its walls is a little place to keep your belly full and put a smile on your face. Grounds Café opened in 2015 and just celebrated its third anniversary by getting a makeover! The visual appearance is not the only thing you notice when you walk in the door, but the smell of delicious fresh food being cooked to order will make your taste buds dance.
The new menu includes a few of the oldies, but many new favorites. It features ingredients that have been locally sourced, which not only ensures that it’s fresh but also supports local farmers and businesses. The delicious eggs come from Zebulon Farm Fresh Eggs. The creamy sharp cheddar cheese comes from Ashe County Cheese. The roasted coffee comes from Raleigh Coffee Co…and that’s just to name a few. See the full list below of all edible local sourcing at Grounds Cafe:

Bailey Lane Baking Co | Videri Chocolate Factory |
Tin Roof Teas | Big Spoon Roasters |
Raleigh Coffee Co | Lonerider Brewing Co |

White Street Brewing Co | Big Boss Brewery Co |
I can’t narrow it down to one thing, so I’ll list three of my favorite fares you should try next time you stop in:
Blackened Chicken Pot Pie – hand pulled chicken mixed with the classics and topped with the most delicious crust that is crisped to perfection
Brussels Sprouts – glazed in balsamic and topped with a crispy honey bacon crumble
Southwest Quinoa Bowl – black beans, corn, orzo, quinoa mix, kale, onion, avocado, cheddar, grape tomatoes, and avocado cilantro dressing…need I say more?
