Holiday events in Wendell:
Wendell Falls Holiday Market: Nov. 20, noon-4 p.m., 1801 Shady Oaks Dr., Wendell
Explore the community and shop for a holiday gift that will make a lasting impression! This resident organized sip and shop showcases more than 50 artists, makers and vendors. The residents will also be collecting unwrapped kids’ toys to donate to North Carolina Friends of Santa.
Lake Myra Christmas Lights: Nov. 24-Dec. 31, Sundays-Thursdays, 5:30-10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, 5:30-11 p.m., Lake Myra
Less than three minutes from Wendell Falls, the annual Lake Myra Christmas Lights is merry and bright with light shows, singing and dancing! Enjoy the light show to music while staying in your car by tuning into 103.3 FM. Admission is free, and there will be donation boxes on-site.
Wendell Wonderland: Dec. 3, 5-9 p.m.
Kick off the holiday season at Wendell Wonderland! This event includes activities such as a light show with 400,000 lights synchronized to holiday music, choral and dance performances. Also enjoy a 23-foot tree lighting ceremony at Town Square, Santa, food trucks, a holiday market and more! The Town of Wendell will be hosting a Toys for Tots Drive prior to and during the event as a part of an initiative to support the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

Raleigh Tree Lighting & Holiday Market: Nov. 19, 5:30-8 p.m., Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts
Have a tree-mendously good time at the Raleigh Tree Lighting and Holiday Market! Triangle Pop-Up is partnering with Downtown Raleigh Alliance to celebrate the holiday season with a spectacular tree lighting ceremony in front of the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, as well as a holiday pop-up market. Enjoy Downtown Raleigh’s annual tree lighting, holiday-themed activities and tons of local artists and makers. There is sure to be something for everyone on your holiday list!
Raleigh Christmas Parade: Nov. 20, 9:30 a.m.-noon, North Carolina State Capitol
The mile-long parade features more than 100 entries, including bands, themed floats, super-sized balloons, marchers and more! Attracting an estimated 65,000 spectators and reaching more than 250,000 through television and live video streaming, the parade is the largest single-day event in Raleigh and the largest parade between Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
The Christmas Carousel Holiday Gift Market: Nov. 26-28, 6 a.m.-2 p.m., North Carolina State Fair
For more than 34 years, the Christmas Carousel Holiday Gift Market has been a Triangle Thanksgiving tradition for thousands of holiday shoppers. More than 250 exhibitors come together each year showcasing gifts and more for your shopping experience! Santa will be there all three days, so have your wish lists ready!
Theatre in the Park: a Christmas Carol: Dec. 9-12, 7-11 p.m., Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts
Attending the Theatre in the Park: a Christmas Carol is a tradition for many locals and a must-see for those that have not been yet! It is ranked as one of the top 2021 holiday shows, so you'll be sorry if you miss it!

Have a holly jolly time at the MAKRS Holiday Festival! This event includes more than 150 local vendors, Santa visits, food trucks, Creative Workshops by Joy Worthy Co., live music, a selfie studio, drinks and more all in the heart of Downtown Raleigh! Performances include Stage Door Dance, Lemon Sparks and a chimes installation light show provided by Downtown Raleigh Alliance!
