Wendell Falls Turns Nine

In honor of our 9th anniversary, here are nine things about Wendell Falls that we feel are worth celebrating!

  1. When Wendell Falls opened in 2015, it was hard to image what it would look like today. Our vibrant community has seen 1897 home closings since then, and we are grateful to our homebuilders who bring their refreshing designs to life so that our residents find homes that suit them perfectly.
  2. Of course the number of home closings would mean nothing without our amazing residents who have embraced Wendell Falls’ small-town community combined with big-city urbanity and the notion of new thinking, new ways to live, new ways to work and new ways to get together.
  3. And we know these residents value living in a community that cares about its neighbors and important causes. For example, On Veterans Day 2020, Wendell Falls along with Garman Homes, the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County, the U.S. Veterans Corps and Operation: Coming Home honored the legacy of SFC Elis A. Barreto when it unveiled a “Hero Home” to the family of SFC Barreto, who died in combat the year before.
  4. We also care about the environment. All homes in Wendell Falls are ecoSelect Certified, which means they are inspected throughout construction to meet energy, water and indoor air quality requirements. But what does this really mean? Consider this: since the opening of Wendell Falls, the community has seen a cumulative energy savings of $4.8M which is the equivalent to the cost of 2,000 mountain bikes or the annual energy usage of 4,000 homes. Our cumulative water savings of 28 million gallons of water, equating to a cost savings of $550,000, could wash a million loads of laundry or fill a thousand average-sized swimming pools!
  5. We value fellowship. What started as the original gathering place of Wendell Falls, the Farmhouse Café is one of Wendell’s most loved community gathering spots, with a locally sourced menu and fun weekly events.
  6. Convenience is important. So are tasty treats. Treelight Square in Wendell Falls has quickly become a popular retail and dining destination that includes national brands as well as local establishments offering our community a variety of places to shop, work, eat, drink and be merry.Music Bingo at the Farmhouse
  7. Summertime is for jammin’. If you’ve been around Wendell Falls for a minute, you know that fewer things say summertime like Farmhouse Jams. We bring in talented musicians and our residents (and guests) bring chairs and blankets for our very own concert series. Join us on June 8 for Farmhouse Jams with Miss Mini and The Sandman Band.
  8. Art inspires conversation and connection. From murals to mailbox art to Dell the Pig, Wendell Falls is all about artful touches that surprise and delight. Take Dell, for example. This giant, flying, golden pig was created to make use of an empty future home lot on Model Row and showcase the magic and wonder of Wendell Falls.Dell the Pig statue
  9. Wendell Falls is an award-winning community. Our clubhouse has been named the best recreational facility, our landscaping has been honored by several organizations, and our sustainability efforts have been recognized as superior. Most recently, Wendell Falls was recognized with four Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence (MAME) awards, hosted by the Homebuilders Associations of Raleigh – Wake County and Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties. In addition to Brookfield Properties being named Developer of the Year, Wendell Falls took home awards for Best Social Media Campaign – Instagram Reels; Best Innovative Feature – Dell the Flying Pig, Pig Park and Chat Bot; and Best Landscape Design for a Community – Infusing Art Around the Community.

Wendell Falls is located just 15 miles from downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the U.S. Explore artfully crafted new homes and townhomes from the low $300,000s – $900,000s+.
