Meet the Longs
Born in Raleigh, Donna Long spent her childhood in Tarboro, N.C., and met her husband Nelson while they were in high school. After heading off to rival colleges, Nelson backing the Wolfpack and Donna donning the Carolina blue, they married after graduation thus completing a heart-warming tale of two high school sweethearts. Donna is a retired nurse and Nelson enjoys commuting to work with his grown-up son, who is also a resident of Wendell Falls. In their free time, Donna and Nelson love to go biking on Wendell Falls trails or sample the delicious cuisine at Farmhouse Cafe.
