Wake Tech Hoping to Build East Campus in Wendell
Earlier this month, Triangle Business Journal released a story about a potential land purchase in Wendell.
Wake Technical Community College, the Triangle’s largest community college, is looking to expand with plans to add another campus in eastern Wake County. The community college hopes to purchase 106 acres in Wendell for $10.6 million, pending approval from the Wake County Board of Commissioners and State Board of Community Colleges. If the land purchase is approved, the college plans to build the campus out over an undetermined time frame. However, Wake Tech’s new president, Scott Ralls, would like to see it completed within a four-year window.
